Columbus 177 Prima Super yacht |
The Italian shipyard Palumbo has created the Columbus 177 Prima with modern interiors, massive volumes and light design concept. It was launched earlier this year and is an excellent example of refined Italian designs which are of worldwide renown. The interior of the Prima was done up by Tommaso Spadolini of Spadolini Studio Design and its naval architecture by Sergio Cutolo. An ABS Classification and a RINA Green Star Plus was awarded for Prima which has been certified as environmentally friendly apart from its serene elegance. The RINA Green Star Plus award was given by Prince Albert II of Monaco in the presence of the King of Spain.
The layout
Prima’s LOA of 54 meters gives ample space layout consisting from the outer to the inner collection. The two tenders of Prima are stored below the main deck in an internal facility, leaving an impressive space of 20 meters for the sundeck.
Measuring a total of 350m, guest and owners have a niche which is lavish and has an endless sense of space. The elegant set up for dining has both a formal and intimate settings, with lounging areas in both the main and upper aft deck.
Interiors and furnishings
The furniture all have the pedigreed Italian style of refinement with special attention to details in a predominantly subdued clear lines. With impeccable off-white sofas and armchairs, the main saloon has the signature of light and intimate space. To balance the design, Italian marbles, leather and wood has been intelligently utilized.This sense of engulfing warmth and grandeur in tasteful shades gives the guests a sense of homely comfort in a luxurious setting.
The private chambers
The upper deck comprises of an extra VIP cabin, while on the lower deck there are two twin and two double cabins. On the fore main deck, the owner’s cabin is located in spacious privacy. The Prima has the capacity to accommodate twelve guests within its elegant portals.
The upper deck
There is a big second saloon in the upper deck comprising of a bar, sitting area, coffee table with comfortable armchairs. This area is far more informal and intimate when compared with the main deck which is more formal and grand. Guests are supplied with all luxuries in a stylish intimate signature design setting.
The sun deck area which is quite spacious and private has impressive sunbeds, lounging corner and large surface with an equipped bar is perfect for the private sun bathers. The amenities including a big jacuzzi completes the picture of supreme comfort with high end technology.
Overview
Throughout the interiors and furnishing aspect of the Prima, the minimalist palette of dark wood with light colors have been incorporated throughout, creating a homely and cozy feel for the guests on board. the whole vessel has been given an overall blend of natural light and luxurious space in clean layers of Italian touch. This is the first super yacht project of the Palumbo shipyard which makes Prima stand out in attention details and quality which is impressive.
